Terms of Service

The agreement between you and LaunchDocs. We've kept the wording as plain as possible; the lawyer-grade bits are flagged where needed.

Last updated: 29 February 2026

1. The service

LaunchDocs is an AI-assisted documentation, compliance, and procurement workspace operated by LaunchDocs Ltd. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LaunchDocs website at launchdocs.ai and the LaunchDocs application (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company.

2. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials you use to access the Service and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately at security@launchdocs.ai if you suspect unauthorised use.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. The Service is intended for business use; we do not knowingly process the personal data of children.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • upload, generate, or distribute illegal content, content that infringes intellectual property rights, or content that promotes violence, harassment, or discrimination;
  • attempt to circumvent any security or rate-limiting control, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by law;
  • use the Service to develop a competing product, including by training a machine-learning model on Service output without our prior written consent;
  • send unsolicited communications via integrations connected to LaunchDocs (Slack, email, Intercom, Zendesk);
  • use the Service in any way that could harm the Service, its users, or any third party.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where appropriate, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue first.

4. Your content, your ownership

You retain all rights, title, and interest in the source material you upload ("Your Content") and the documentation generated from it ("Generated Content"). LaunchDocs does not claim any ownership of Your Content or Generated Content.

You grant LaunchDocs a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, display, and create derivative works of Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account.

You confirm that you have all rights necessary to upload Your Content and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

5. AI-generated content — review before use

The Service uses artificial intelligence (currently Anthropic Claude) to generate, transform, and structure documentation. AI output is probabilistic and may contain factual errors, omissions, or stylistic artefacts even when the underlying source material is accurate.

You are solely responsible for reviewing every AI-generated document before relying on it in a regulated, legally binding, audit, regulatory, procurement, or otherwise high-stakes context. The Service surfaces inference-level flags ("Verify" flags) and gates exports on a human-oversight confirmation precisely to support that review.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaunchDocs does not warrant that any AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose, including but not limited to compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, the EU AI Act, vendor security questionnaires, RFP submissions, or any other regulatory or contractual obligation.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Prices, plan inclusions, and seat limits are shown at launchdocs.ai/pricing.

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.

We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by mandatory consumer-protection law (for example, the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law where you are an individual consumer and not a business).

If we change pricing, we will give existing customers at least 30 days' notice before the change applies to their renewal.

7. Service availability and warranty

We work hard to keep the Service available, secure, and performant, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Scheduled maintenance windows and any service-level commitments for higher-tier plans are described in the order form or applicable plan documentation.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LaunchDocs and its officers, directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to LaunchDocs for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred (100) euros.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — for example, liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if continued service creates legal or security risk, or if the Service is discontinued.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We delete your data in accordance with the retention windows described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, liability, governing law) will survive termination.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of London, England have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Terms, except that we may bring an action in any jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property.

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply and these clauses do not limit your rights under those laws.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or via the application at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
